Moms can be so funny

I just had to post this so I can look back at it one day and laugh my ass off. This is part of the mom chronicles, I'm not sure if I ever posted about my mom before, but here goes. The first one is the other day, I was telling mom that I had a research paper to do and I went in my university's online library to print out articles that I needed. My mom is not what you call tech sawvyJ. So the first thing she asked me, "So you actually went into the library online? So you like entered the real library and virtual browsed though it?? Like it had corridors and rows of books"........LooooooooL I couldn't stop laughing. Ya momma I love how you imagine things.

The second one is that I sometimes like asking my mom on what she would do in certain situations. So situation one was, how to deal with ill mannered individuals who wrong you. So technically this was her attempt on teaching me to be a "mean girl". Moms advise: "say WHAT!!!! (in a serious and loud voice) while giving them the mean stare." LoooL, ok mom I'm sure that'll scare them off for good.

 

Wait for me

I love what I'm doing right now, but I hate missing out on certain things. Everybody is angry at me for not call them. I hate saying I'm busy but I am. I miss out on 1 wedding and 3 dinner parties :(.... . Now I know what the true meaning of a weekend is!! Just have to keep telling myself it's all over soon. And to top it off the weather is Amazing!! Cool, Chilly and Rainy a combination for Desert fun. I just hope the weather waits for me.......last note I stumbled on this website where you can post why your life sucks anonymously www.imatternot.com , and I got a link to www.ikbis.com an arab wanna be flickr but it also has video, really professional site, their "about" link is still underconstruction but I have a feeling Roba is the mastermind behind this website, mainly because her pics are all over and she's the one that sent me the link. I have high hopes for it. Check them out.

I came across this pic on Flickr......Oh God, not a bunch of hooligans looking for a excuse to vent out their frustrations. I doubt that they were being one bit patriotic. One more year of this and they'll ruin it for all of us. I wouldn't be surprised if the national day was gets canceled. I guess these were the streets on wednesday night. These pics are embarassing. Anybody got an idea to keep them off the streets??

Two Birds with One Stone

"Excuse me boss, you have a text message".......Yes my mobile calls me boss, Its SMS madness, which can only mean one thing...Its Ramadan! Messages of greetings, Saudi telecom is rolling in the dough on our SMSs, while on the lighter side its becoming more of a popularity contest of who gets the most messages. And yes, I won the miss popular in my family.
Can't get better than this, first day of Ramadan and its the 2nd Official Saudi National Day all in one, Long live the KING and I mean it!

Inspire me

Today I'm blogging from work...I'm suppose to be studying right now, but I need a break every 2 secs. The internet in sooooooo fast compared to at home. I'd rather stay here than go home. A long weekend is coming up just before Ramadan. Because of the Saudi National day. So I wanna go to Bahrain for a breath of new air and catch some movies and buy some books. So I asked mom.

Me: So mom how about it, lets go to Bahrain.
Mom: Do you want me to Die?
Me: loool, mom your not gonna die, its just a car.
Mom: I've been having these dreams of all these deceased friends and family.
Me: ya well maybe its because Ramadan is coming and they want you to pray for them.
Mom: yeah well, we are not going to Bahrain.

Mom has this phobia with traveling for long distances by car ever since she got into this almost car crash. So I guess I won't be doing anything this coming weekend. I'd like to hear what everybody else is planning. Inspire me.

Its a Cruel, Cruel Summer

Its Summer time..... World cup games, pigging out on junk food, pool parties, watching every single season of every single TV show, staying up till your eyes can't hold up and....Work! I wish I could ditch whenever I felt like it. Work life sucks. I'm sick of being an independant working girl. I'm sick of acting professional. Call me spoiled, So what. Sorry family and friends but dinner is not on me this time, the first few times were cute enough. When was the last time I was dined anyway. Either way, I gotta save for my summer shopping spree. PLEASE Dad get this vacation planning together before I crack!
Right now I'm in the mid way of season 1 of lost, after that season 2 then the Desperate housewifes. You think I'm outdated, give me a break!
