Ageless I think
When should you start lying about your age? Its just something I was thinking about, the other day I was registering for something and the lady asked for my age. I blurted out 23! Recalling on that, why did I say that??? Its only 2 years younger then my real age. It was the first time I lied. It wasn't even for anything significant. So what if I'm 25. People think I look 19, not that it makes a difference. Some of my friends are about 3 years older then me, I don't even know their exact age because they dodge the question. And my other friend always says she just graduated uni, even if it was 2 years ago! Anyone in their 20s and changing there age? Only in Saudi.

I guess for girls, 29 is the limit and this is the biggest number you may hear from a woman telling her age :D
I am almost 30 now, and I am a man, and it is scaring me somehow, I think I will start to lie about it in less than 5 years!

lool, guys lying about their age? wow I didn't even think guys cared about that. Hmm, but who would you lie it to about guys or girls?

lol, I don't know what's the exact problem with the age here in middle east. Not only in Saudi Arabia.
My friend who's 22 now doesn't tell her real age to anyone! She always says I'm 20. I don't know why but I think she is afraid from growing up and being old so quick.
In the other hand, my mom for example had a different thinking (SO different!). When anyone ask her about her age she makes her self older! And here I always come and destroy her moment by saying to the person who asks that she is only 36 and her year of birth LOL.
And yes to answer your question. Males does lie about their age and my dad is the first one who does it to make him self younger :P.

Well, I didn’t say that guys lie about their age, I am saying that I think I will start to do that in less than 5 years because the idea of aging scares me somehow. I think if I started to lie I will lie to everyone who doesn’t know my birth date, in other words, I will lie to my self until I believe so I feel younger by everyday passes by my life :D

-welcome funny girl, your mom is a very special case, have you ever asked you why she makes herself older.
-Hani, Did you know that Tom Cruise is 40? and he's still hot as ever. So sometimes making yourself older is cool too (for guys ofcourse).

I'm 26 so I guess I still have time before starting to lie about my age. But I think I’d lie if I’m surrounded by younger ones :-p
I think it has to do with how the society links attractiveness to young age. So, if one is getting older, then he/she is losing that appeal. I’d also link to the individuals as well, if individuals feel that they have not done or achieved much, when compared to others, then they might feel the urge to lie about their age.

It's not just a Saudi thing. I'm American and I've lied about my age. I've said that I am 22 when I'm actually 24. I think part of it is that I'm not where I expected to be at this age. Oh well, life goes on.

yes yes yes middle east people lie about their age ALL THE TIME. you see some old looking people and they will go like "am 21". for me i think its pathetic the way they go on. i know one palestinian guy that is obviously in his thirties but he keeps saying he is 28. whenever an arab tells you their age add extra 3 to 5 years and you will get the correct age. so if she says 21 then she is 23-25.
